rollercoaster-tycoon4Did you grow up on a diet of “Tycoon” games on the computer? Well, I am quite sure that those who have given it a go would have spent countless hours sitting in front of a computer trying to manage a virtual environment well. We did bring you word of RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile appearing on the mobile platform not too long ago, and this time around, we have word that RollerCoaster Tycoon for the PC will not be a port of the recently announced iOS title, RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile.

Atari’s senior director of marketing Anthony Chien shared this much, “We can’t share that much, but [PC] will definitely be a completely different game. There’s a lot of diehard RC fans that want a PC experience, they want all different sorts of things. It’s trying to deliver as much as we can. First is the mobile version, then it’s the PC experience. I think a lot of people are vocal about wanting to see the PC version first before the mobile, but our strategy is mobile first.”

While we have no idea on the similarities that will be instantly recognizable between the mobile game and incoming PC project, it does seem as though the PC version of the game will arrive with an “online multiplayer experience” (but of course), and it will certainly not come across as a Facebook game – phew!
