Nokia does seem to be a company that has a great love for colors – otherwise, they would not have called its previous update the Nokia Black update, and this time around, it is widely believed that Nokia could refer to the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 update as “Blue”. It does make sense, too, considering how the GDR2 update to Windows Phone which was introduced to the masses in 2013 alongside its accompanying firmware update was known as the “Amber” update.

Microsoft has done their bit in recent times too, to affirm such a move, as they have referred to the Windows Phone 8.1 update as “Blue.” In the video that you can view above which hails from Nokia Russia, apparently right at the very end of the video itself, there was a mention of the next Lumia update which has been clearly referred to as Nokia Blue.

It remains to be seen what the Blue update will deliver for the masses when it finally arrives, but one could not be faulted for thinking that those improvements will boast of features that make the most of the more recent hardware to be released on the market, including the Nokia Lumia 1520 and Nokia Lumia Icon. I guess all that we can do now is to sit tight and wait, right?
