wiko-waxBack in February 2014, NVIDIA took the wraps off the Tegra 4i chipset which is one of the company’s newer mobile processors. While NVIDIA has been relatively quiet on the smartphone front, a phone by the name of the Wiko WAX was also announced and it will be the first smartphone in the world to take advantage of the Tegra 4i chipset.

Now the good news for our readers in Europe, particularly those living in Italy, France, and Germany, it has been revealed that the Wiko WAX will be arriving in those markets starting next month where it will be priced around €200 (~$276), making it a decently priced handset for what you are getting.

For those who missed our coverage, the Wiko WAX is made by a French manufacturer. In terms of hardware, it will sport a 4.7-inch 720p HD Corning Gorilla Glass 2 display. It will (naturally) be powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra 4i quad-core chipset clocked at 1.7GHz.

It will also be accompanied by 1GB of RAM, 4GB of onboard storage that can be expanded via microSD, an 8Mp rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, 4G LTE support (thanks to the Tegra 4i), and will run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

No word on whether or not the Wiko WAX will be making its way to other markets besides the three mentioned above, but we’ll definitely be on the lookout for more information. In the meantime who else wouldn’t mind getting their hands on a Tegra 4i powered handset?
