Sony-Xperia-Z2-04Working at the FCC must prove to be plenty of fun. After all, you do get to check out all of the latest devices before they are even released to the masses. Well, going through what the FCC has to offer recently, it seems that the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is well on its way to the market after receiving the all important nod of approval by the FCC. Apparently, the model number for the US-bound Xperia Z2 Tablet is known as the SGP521.

The upcoming Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet will not only be thin and lightweight, it also packs quite a punch as this particular model comes with a cellular radio that is capable of riding on just about any frequency that you might come across. While the FCC documents do not show any kind of inconsistency with what we know so far, we thought it to be rather strange that the tests were run on LTE Band 17 alone. That happens to be under the domain of AT&T, which gives off the suggestion that the Xperia Z2 Tablet variant could very well arrive locked and bundled with a relevant data plan.

It remains to be seen just how much will Sony price the Xperia Z2 Tablet, although Sony’s online UK store has already slapped a £499 (approximately $824 after conversion) sticker on the 16GB LTE model.
