HTC has been in the news a lot these past few days, that’s because the company has finally launched its 2014 flagship, the All New HTC One M8. Its not disappearing from headlines anytime soon. While it remains unclear if the company has any plans of launching a successor of its phablet, the folks at Sprint have released the Android 4.4.2 update for the existing model. The Sprint HTC One Max Android 4.4.2 update is rolling out now over-the-air.

Weighing in at 343MB, the update brings all the bells and whistles we have come to expect from Android 4.4.2. Users will get visual enhancements, security improvements, new Bluetooth profiles to support more media interactions, Cloud Print Service and more.

Since the update is being rolled out in stages, it may take a while before it goes live in all regions. Even if it hasn’t popped up on your Sprint HTC One Max yet, it should in the very near future. Staged roll outs usually take a couple of days to complete. Alternatively, one can also try manually searching for the update through the settings application.

Given that the update is quite hefty, its better to download it on a strong Wi-Fi connection. Ensure that the battery has ample charge before setting the phone to download and install the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.
