surface2-lte-fccFor those who have been waiting for a better version of the Surface 2 tablet, perhaps your long wait is over. And by “better”, I would mean a Surface 2 that will boast of LTE wireless capability, allowing you to remain hooked to something that is way faster than 3G. Apparently, whispers are going around that the Surface 2 tablet with LTE connectivity has already begun to ship to Microsoft Store retail locations.

Apparently, this bunch of rumors also point to some images of the alleged tablets at Microsoft Stores that are in existence, although these images have not been posted up after being informed by unnamed parties that such images are “sensitive” in nature. We do know that the tablet will offer wireless support for AT&T, but other than that lead, there has been no other information concerning the Surface 2 LTE model. Apart from that, we also do not have word on pricing details.

There was a recent FCC filing that pointed to a bare bones drawing of the tablet with its LTE antenna, and assuming that these units are now being stocked up at Microsoft Store retail locations, we can only hope that an official release date is in the pipeline real soon.
