Nokia first talked about the Lumia Black update back at Nokia World 2013 in Abu Dhabi. It brings a plethora of new features, improvements and enhancements for existing Lumia Windows Phone powered smartphones. The update has already made its way to several models, and next is line is T-Mobile’s Lumia 521. This smartphone is T-Mobile’s variant of the insanely popular Lumia 520. Today Nokia has finally started rolling out the Lumia Black update for this smartphone.

Some of the main features included in the Lumia Black are support for Bluetooth LE. All WP8 Lumia devices will be Bluetooth LE enabled after the update. New Nokia Camera and Storyteller apps are included as well. Previously Nokia Cameras was only limited to PureView phones, now its available on any Lumia device that’s running Lumia Black.

The update also brings Nokia Focus app to devices that have at least 1GB of RAM. Another new feature is Nokia Beamer, which can be used to share presentations, documents and photos to any screen that’s HTML5 enabled. Countless other tweaks and improvements are included in this major system update.

The T-Mobile Lumia 521 Lumia Black is now available for download. Users can head on over to the Settings menu and check for the update by tapping on Phone Update.
