warlords_release_122014Back in 2013. Blizzard announced their latest World of Warcraft expansion, Warlords of Draenor. The game would increase the level cap to 100 as well as introduce a bunch of new features to the game, as expected from an expansion.

Unfortunately if there is one thing that Blizzard did not announce was when the game would be released. After all we’re sure that despite World of Warcraft’s declining subscribers, there are still plenty of active World of Warcraft players who are still interested in the game.

Well according to the folks at WoW Insider, they have found a line in the game’s pre-order that revealed that the game would be released before the 20th of December 2014. This does not mean that the game’s release is on the 20th of December itself, but that will apparently be the cut-off date.

What this means is that assuming Blizzard gets everything done in time, there is a chance that the release could be before that as well. However Blizzard has been known to put games on delay in order to ensure the best quality possible, so try not to get your hopes up just yet in the event the date does not pan out.

Interestingly enough while World of Warcraft has been on the decline, the announcement of the expansion along with goodies that Blizzard bundles in its other games, has seen the active subscriber base of World of Warcraft increase ever so slightly. We’re not sure if these numbers will hold, so we’ll just have to wait and see.

So, any World of Warcraft gamers out there looking to get their hands on the expansion and get back into the swing of things?
