whatsapp-updateWhatsApp, the app that was purchased by social networking giant Facebook not too long ago for a whopping $19 billion, is certainly worth having on your smartphone or tablet. In fact, the Windows Phone version of WhatsApp has seen a fair number of features having leaked out for the beta version, never mind that the official app itself has yet to be on the receiving end of such leaked features. Perhaps what is needed would be some kind of insider information, which we are more than pleased to have discovered that Nawzil, a previous Microsoft employee, had tweeted that we ought to be able to check out the update, “coming soon!”

Among the expected features would include updates to the user interface, Chat Backgrounds, Improved privacy features, Broadcast List management, Custom Notification Sounds and better control over data usage. As the end user, do you think that you have waited long enough for these improvements to have been implemented at long last, or are you more than happy with how the app is at the moment? On the other hand, have you actually sat down and taken stock of the situation, wondering just how WhatsApp has changed your life in terms of its social aspect as well as communication?
