blackberry-tablet-103-700x318The last time we saw a tablet by BlackBerry was in 2011 with the BlackBerry Playbook. There have been talks about creating a new tablet in the past, although it seems that this could really be happening with BlackBerry’s new CEO, John Chen, at the helm. Recent interviews with Chen has revealed that the CEO is really interested in re-entering the tablet space although we have no idea when that might be.

However thanks to a recent sighting on HTML5test, perhaps BlackBerry’s tablet ambitions could be progressing a lot faster than we had initially thought. According to the test, a certain BlackBerry tablet was revealed to have scored 493 out of 555 points in the test. It also showed the device running on OS 10.3.0.1337 and had a resolution of 800×480.

The folks at N4BB speculate that it is possible that this could be a BlackBerry phone mistaken for a tablet and we have to agree that is a possibility. After all wouldn’t BlackBerry prefer to make a splash with a high-end tablet, as opposed to one running a rather low resolution? Then again BlackBerry’s partnership with Foxconn is an example of how BlackBerry plans on conquering the low-end market, so perhaps a low-end tablet might not be such a stretch of the imagination after all.

In any case we suggest that you guys not get your hopes up just yet, but we’ll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for more info. In the meantime how do you guys feel about a possible low-end BlackBerry tablet? Yay or nay?
