blu studio 5.0If you’re looking for a smartphone that is not only affordable but plays nicely with LTE networks, then you might be interested in BLU Products’ latest handset, the Studio 5.0. As the name suggests, the handset will feature a 5-inch display, although apart from its size and colorful nature, the Studio 5.0 isn’t exactly the most powerful Android phone we’ve seen to date.

The handset will play nice with T-Mobile’s LTE network (it supports 1700MHz and 2600MHz bands for LTE, and 850/1700/1900/2100MHz bands for 3G) and will be priced at $249 unlocked and contract free, making it a pretty value for money purchase, especially if your budget is a little tight.

As far as the rest of the hardware specs are concerned, the BLU Studio 5.0 will feature a 5-inch 960×540 display. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset clocked at 1.4GHz (quad-core), 1GB of RAM, 4GB of onboard storage expandable via microSD, Android 4.4 KitKat, a 2,000mAh battery, and an 8MP rear-facing camera.

It sounds like a pretty decent smartphone for those who might not necessarily need that much power and just want something that gets the job done. In any case if the BLU Studio 5.0 sounds like a phone you might be interested in, it is expected to be available via Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy in the US starting in May.
