lg-lseriesFor those who are in the market for a new smartphone but don’t exactly want to put down the money for high-end handsets like the Samsung Galaxy S5 or the HTC One M8, how about checking out some low-mid ranged devices from LG? T-Mobile and MetroPCS have recently announced the launch of the LG Optimus L90 and the Optimus L70.

Both devices were announced ahead of MWC 2014 which took place in February earlier this year and like we said, these aren’t exactly the most high-end handsets we’ve seen to date, especially from LG. However they do come pretty cheap with the LG Optimus L90 priced at $0 downpayment and $9.50 a month over a period of two years, while the LG Optimus L70 will be priced at $49 after a $100 mail-in rebate.

The LG Optimus L90 will be available from T-Mobile on the 30th of April and will feature a 4.7-inch 960×540 display. It will be powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, accompanied by 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage, a 5MP rear-facing camera, LTE connectivity, and a 2,540mAh battery.

As for the LG Optimus L70, the handset is available from MetroPCS right now. It is also slightly less powerful than the Optimus L90. It will come with a smaller 4.5-inch display with a WVGA resolution, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of onboard storage, a 5MP rear-facing camera, and a 2,100mAh battery. Both devices will also come with Android 4.4.2 KitKat preinstalled.

Not the most powerful phones, like we said, but it will get the job done, especially if you’re on a budget.
