Nokia intends to be a company of their word, having promised that they would issue a second major update to their Asha lineup. This particular update would see the introduction of Mix Radio, in addition to an improved camera with audible selfie assistance, Panorama, OneDrive support, Facebook likes, Twitter re-tweets as well as birthdays in Fastlane, in addition to built-in parental controls. This particular update is currently being pushed over the air (OTA), and ought to arrive in the form of a push notification although one can always perform a manual check if they want to.

This particular firmware update will target the single and dual-SIM versions of the Asha 500, 501, 502, 503 and 230, so if you happen to have any of those handsets in your possession, you know what to do, and we would not fault you for being excited about it.

One of the more notable features would be the new camera alongside the addition of Panorama mode. Just in case you happen to be snapping a selfie (and thinking that you’re all right mentally, of course) with the rear camera, the phone will provide you with voice instructions so that the end result would see your face being located right smack at the center whenever you snap that photo. How cool is that? Parental controls too, enable one to request a PIN code or password for browser and Store access.
