Folks who had been waiting for refurbished Retina iPad mini to be available from the Apple online store can now rejoice. The company has started selling refurbished models of its latest iPad mini. It only sells them through the online store so walking into your nearest Apple Store isn’t going to be necessary. It has taken Apple nearly six months to offer refurbished Retina iPad mini models after the tablet was first released late last year.

The refurbished models are great for customers who want to have a tablet that is as good as new without having to shell out the full retail price. Since Apple provides a one year warranty with these models, just like it does with their new counterparts, customers are covered should something unfortunate happen.

As of now the Wi-Fi only Retina iPad mini models are available through the Apple online store in 16, 32 and 64GB flavors. Cellular models might be added sometime in the future. A refurbished 16GB model costs $339. Its a decent 15 percent saving as the same tablet costs $399 at full retail.

The Retina iPad mini is perfect for customers that want the iPad experience without having to carry a big 10-inch tablet around. It has a 7.9-inch Retina display, Apple’s very own A7 processor with M7 motion coprocessor as well as 802.11n Wi-Fi with MIMO technology. Apple already offers refurbished models of the iPad Air.
