The Super Nintendo Entertainment System from Nintendo (obviously) has proven itself to be quite the cultural icon for those of us who grew up in the 1980s and 1990s, and Nintendo became the general term to describe video games at home, at least before the days of the PlayStation and Xbox. Having a relatively long lifespan, the venerable SNES obviously had its fair share of games released for the platform, and you can view the full title list here. What’s more amazing is, this particular compilation of all start screens for every single Super Nintendo Entertainment System game.

Yes sir, the video above happens to be three times as long as the first video which depicted all NES start screens, and I suppose this has to do with the more powerful SNES hardware being able to throw up additional graphics and animation. We are talking about more than 9 hours of start screen goodness – or torture, depending on how you look at the situation. You can watch the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy for approximately the same amount of time, now how about that?

What are some of your favorite start screens for SNES titles that you can remember even until now?
