hobbit3At last, Peter Jackson has unveiled (on his Facebook page) the epic finale for The Hobbit trilogy, where its title will not be The Hobbit: There and Back Again, but rather, it will be known as The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. It sure as heck sounds like there will be plenty of battles going on in there, otherwise that is the whole point of having an army in the first place?

Jackson shared, “When we did the premiere trip late last year, I had a quiet conversation with the studio about the idea of revisiting the title. We decided to keep an open mind until a cut of the film was ready to look at. We reached that point last week, and after viewing the movie, we all agreed there is now one title that feels completely appropriate. And so: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies it is.”

I guess that’s that then, and one thing’s for sure, even if it was going to be called The Hobbit: Taking Your Money For The Third Time, it is still going to rake in its fair share of dough when the movie finally hits the silver screens right before Christmas this coming December 17, 2014. Don’t you find it interesting that major announcements can be made via the likes of social media in this day and age?
