We’re sure that by now, many gamers would have tried their hands at Valve’s Left 4 Dead franchise. It’s a pretty unique game that allows players to take turns being the good guy and the monster which helps shake up the dynamic of such games. Now while we’re waiting for the next Left 4 Dead title to be released, Valve and Taito have teamed up and announced that they will be releasing an arcade version of the game over in Japan.

The collaboration was previously known as Project Z but it has since been revealed to be Left 4 Dead: Survivors. No word on what we might be able to expect from the arcade version of the game, but it is set to be released in 2014 in Japan, although given how fun the original Left 4 Dead title was, we can only hope that it will eventually make its way into arcades around the world as well.

This isn’t the first time that Valve and Taito have collaborated on an arcade game. In fact back in 2006 both companies teamed up for an arcade version of Half-Life 2 titled Half-Life 2: Survivor. The game featured a Story mode, Battle, and Mission mode and based on that, we can only assume the same might be applied to Left 4 Dead: Survivor as well. In the meantime you guys can check out the trailer above which was released in February as part of Taito’s Project Z teaser.
