Word-print-options

Last month Microsoft finally launched its much awaited productivity suite for Apple’s popular tablet. Office for iPad quickly became one of the most downloaded apps for the tablet shortly after its launch. It brought the familiar look and feel of Microsoft Office to a table that dominates businesses, schools and homes around the world. Though at launch it lacked a crucial feature, the ability to print documents. With today’s update you can now print documents through Office for iPad.

Microsoft itself reveals that out of thousands of feature requests that it received, the one that users wanted the most was the ability to print. Once the update is downloaded users will be able to print Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations with an AirPrint printer.

In Word users can choose to print a document with or without market. In Excel they can choose between printing a single worksheet, a selected range or an entire spreadsheet. Same goes for PowerPoint slides, select one or select all, its up to you.

The update also brings SmartGuides in PowerPoint which will help you align shapes, pictures and text boxes as you move them around in a slide. Excel gets AutoFit which lets you adjust the width of multiple rows as well as height of multiple columns at the same time. Office for iPad’s first update also brings several bug fixes and stability improvements.
