apple_logoWe’re pretty sure companies can’t be happy when photos or details about their products are leaked ahead of their official announcement. Apple is a company known for their secrecy and tight-lippedness, or at least they once were. It seems that ever since the iPhone 5, Apple has had a tough time clamping down on leaks.

In fact photos of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c were making their way across the internet well before Apple had announced them, and if those trends are to continue, it seems that the iPhone 6 is probably one of the worst-kept secrets of all time, thanks to the flood of leaked images we’ve seen lately. However it looks like Apple will finally be doing something about, according to a recent tweet by Sonny Dickson.

For those unfamiliar with Dickson, he’s an Australian-based leaker who gained notoriety by leaking photos of the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c. According to Dickson, he claims that Apple has been working with the Chinese authorities to try and catch those who have been leaking iPhone 6-related information. Given that most of Apple’s suppliers and manufacturers are based in China, this hardly comes as a surprise that they are working with Chinese authorities.

He goes on to state that Apple has hired 200 security officers who job is to go around the country and trying to catch those who are selling iPhone 6-related accessories. As you might recall, a lot of these leaks are from case manufacturers who are trying to create accessories for the iPhone 6 ahead of schedule. Will Apple’s efforts help with the leaks? well we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
