at&t-galaxy-s5-active

The leaks about Samsung’s many Galaxy S5 variants don’t stop coming in. As always the Korean juggernaut is expected to launch multiple variants of this year’s flagship. The Galaxy S5 Active is almost certainly at the top of the list. This rugged variant may not be that far off and if a recent rumor is to be believed AT&T might carry it in the U.S. AT&T also carried the Galaxy S4 Active so this wouldn’t really come as a surprise. An image of the AT&T Galaxy S5 Active variant has been leaked online.

There have been countless leaks about the Galaxy S5 Active. We’ve seen multiple images and even seen a hands-on video. It is expected that this smartphone may have a dedicated hardware button. Users will be able to customize the button to do a variety of tasks, offering one click access to all of them.

The leaked image suggests that AT&T won’t plaster any of its branding on the front, opting to put its logo on the back of the device. At first glance this particular model might look exactly the same as the international Galaxy S5 Active model due to the absence of prominent carrier branding on the front.

As far as the specifications are concerned the Galaxy S5 Active may be similar to the Galaxy S5 under the hood. Even though the latter is both dust and water resistant it is likely that this variant comes with increased resistance to the elements apart from rubberized sides for drop protection. No formal announcement of this variant has been made yet but it is expected to hit the shelves in the near future.
