We reported earlier this month that Halo would be making its way to Minecraft on the Xbox 360 through the Halo Mash-Up Pack. Surely the title has legions of fans on the Xbox platform who would like to play the game as originally intended but its safe to say that adding a little spice to the entire experience never hurt anybody. Today Halo for Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition has been launched by Microsoft Studios, Mojang and 343 Industries.

The extra content will certainly be appreciated by millions of Minecraft fans on Xbox 360. It was recently announced that since its launch on the Xbox 360 in 2012 Minecraft has sold over 12 million copies in both digital and disc forms combined. The Halo Mash-up pack which has been crafted by 4J Studios includes a Halo-themed texture set, themed user interface and menus, craftable items as well as 31 music tracks across the Halo franchise.

The pack also brings 40 “pixel-perfect character skins” that depict Halo characters such as Master Chief, Cortana, Arbiter, Sergeant Johnson and more. Fans looking to fully immerse themselves in the Halo universe the Mash-up pack brings pre-made worlds such as Sandtrap, Valhalla, Blackout, Silent Cartographer, Guardian, Blood Gulch as well as many other well-known Halo features and vehicles.

Launched today, Halo for Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition DLC (downloadable content) will be available for download tomorrow. The mash-up pack costs $3.99 via Xbox Live.
