Its a given with “mini” variants of flagship devices that several features of the high-end sibling won’t be available. That’s because they don’t necessarily have the same power package under the hood. One can’t expect any different from the HTC One M8 mini which is likely to be launched later this month. A new report claims that it may lack additional features that are available on the HTC One M8.

The biggest feature that will be missing on the mini variant is Duo Camera. With its flagship smartphone HTC unveiled a dual-camera system this year in which the secondary module acts as a depth sensor. Countless leaked press images and rumors have reached a consensus that the feature isn’t going to make its way to the HTC One M8 mini, for obvious reasons, since the entire idea behind this variant is to offer a similar design experience at a fraction of the cost.

According to serial Twitter leaker @evleaks, the HTC One M8 mini will also miss out on Zoe, Motion Launch, Pan 360 photos and Fitbit integration. All of these features are available on the high-end model. Since its not going to have similar processing power, it makes sense for HTC to exclude these intensive features to make sure that the system runs smoothly.

Despite the unavailability of these features HTC One M8 mini customers will still get a similar design and build experience. Those who want the real deal can certainly opt for the high-end sibling.
