iphone-6-curved-display

The number of iPhone 6 related leaks increases as we head into the summer. Apple is expected to ramp up production of its next generation iPhone around this time so its normal to see the rumor mill becoming a bit more active. We already seen quite a few mockups of the iPhone 6 but the latest hints at something completely different. Picture of an iPhone 6 dummy unit posted online hints at the possibility of a slightly curved display.

The picture comes from Sonny Dickson, someone who has a reliable track record for leaking things about unreleased Apple products. Last year he got his hands on iPad mini and iPhone 5c shells and regularly leaked information about the upcoming devices, so even if this dummy unit isn’t real, there’s no harm in considering the possibility.

Since this is a dummy model after all we can be sure that the final version will certainly be a lot different. For example it won’t have the yellow plastic inlay around the home button. In the iPhone 5s a metal ring garnishes the home button under which the Touch ID fingerprint scanner lives.

The iPhone 6 is expected to come with a larger display, rumors suggest that it might be 4.7-inches. There hasn’t been much chatter about a curved display though so it remains to be seen if Apple is willing to go down this road. One this is for sure though, it is far too soon to be absolutely sure what the next generation iPhone has in store for us. The best thing to do right now is to take all this rumors with a grain of salt.
