untitled-5_verge_super_wideWant a way to collect your Amazon deliveries without you being at home? Sure, you can redirect your deliveries to one of Amazon’s lockers that they have placed in 7-11 convenience stores and other retailers, where you can enter your confirmation number and collect the items that you have purchased on Amazon’s website.

However interestingly enough, it seems that Amazon might have plans for larger lockers, thanks to a giant locker appearing in San Francisco, seemingly out of thin air. The locker has been aptly titled “Giant” and while its purpose remains unknown, it does come with a working keypad and display screen where customers can enter their information.

Unfortunately apart from that, no one knows what the locker is for. According to reports, some have speculated that the presence of the locker could be in line with an announcement that Amazon plans on making tomorrow. We’re not sure what the announcement will be about, but presumably it has something to do with their locker services.

Perhaps it could be to announce more lockers that they’re placing around the country, or if it could be about Amazon rolling out more of the huge lockers in other parts of the city, which we reckon seems to be a bit obstructive. Either way do check back with us tomorrow where hopefully the mystery of the Giant locker will be explained.
