nokia-lumia-520The Nokia Lumia 520 is probably one of Nokia’s most popular and successful Windows Phone devices. It managed to combine an attractive price tag and decent hardware specs, making it a pretty value for money device, much like how the Moto G proved to be a bigger hit than the Moto X.

That being said, we expect that Nokia (now owned by Microsoft) will want to continue that success with a successor to the Lumia 520. We had heard rumors that they were working on a successor, the Lumia 530, and now thanks to GFXBench sightings, possible specs of the Lumia 530 have been revealed.

We should note that the Lumia 520 wasn’t exactly a super phone per se, so we doubt that its successor will be packing high-end specs either. Now according to the GFXBench listing, a certain RM-1027, which is believed to be the Lumia 530, will sport a WVGA display with a resolution of 800×480. No mention to screen size, but we expect it should be in line with the Lumia 520, if not slightly bigger.

There was also no mention of processor type, but based on the listing, it has been revealed that its GPU will be the Adreno 305, which seems to be the standard GPU configuration for low-end Lumia handsets, so safe to say that this will not be one of Nokia’s higher-end devices. In any case we will be keeping our eyes peeled for more information, so if you liked what you saw in the Lumia 520, hopefully the Lumia 530 will not disappoint.
