Is it me, or is there some level of confusion when it comes to the OnePlus One where the presence of a microSD memory card slot is concerned? Apparently, documents that were revealed by the FCC not too long ago do point to the ability for the smartphone to be able to handle microSD memory cards of up to 32GB in capacity. However, it seems that such a mention was a mistake; and that translates to the OnePlus One missing out on a microSD memory card slot. Bummer!
So much for hope springing eternal and all that jazz. I suppose news of this missing microSD memory card slot would mean that those who originally thought that they are able to get by with the 16GB model of the OnePlus One by augmenting it with a corresponding microSD memory card ought to now consider picking up the 64GB version of the phone.
In fact, even Cyanogen Inc. has also confirmed that the listing in the user manual as released by the FCC was a mistake, although there has been no official word from the folks over at OnePlus to date. Granted, the OnePlus One is still a highly affordable handset, considering the 64GB model would arrive unlocked for just $349.
