oppo-n1-mini

Oppo is one of the better known Chinese manufacturers. It already has a strong customer base on its home turf and is now starting to make a name for itself in the global tech market. A lot of rumors have been going around recently about a new device that the company is expected to unveil soon. Oppo has finally broken its silence and confirmed that the Oppo N1 Mini is going to be officially announced on May 30th.

The company posted this on Sina Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter. It was posted through Oppo’s official Weibo account so there’s no confusion whatsoever regarding the legitimacy of this claim. The accompanying image contains a sketch of a device that has a rotating camera, something that we first saw on the full-fledged Oppo N1.

Granted that the image doesn’t mention the Oppo N1 Mini explicitly by name but its hard to imagine that this could be something else. There have already been countless rumors about this smartphone. The Oppo N1 Mini is believed to tout a 5-inch 720p HD display, an octacore processor from either Samsung or MediaTex as well as 4G LTE support. Its also rumored to have a 13 megapixel rotating rear camera with LED flash and a 2,140mAh battery.

Oppo will have information about pricing and availability to share come May 30th, we’ll have to sit tight till then.
