galaxy-s4-value-editionWith Samsung having a smartphone for just about any and every budget, it is not a surprise then, to see that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is still hanging around even with the release of the Samsung Galaxy S5. Having said that, there is a newly launched version of the Samsung Galaxy S4, where it is known as the Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition which will arrive with Android 4.4 KitKat as the mobile operating system of choice.

Earlier in March this year, the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini Value Edition was revealed, where that particular model came with a fair number of updated specifications compared to the original Samsung Galaxy S3. Will it be the same with the Samsung Galaxy S4 Value Edition? Apparently, not, it will be just the same as the regular Galaxy S4, although the back cover’s design seems to have changed a wee bit, in addition to having Android 4.4 KitKat running right out of the box.

Apart from that, with word that the original Galaxy S4 has already received the Android 4.4 KitKat update for a fair number of years already, it remains to be seen just what the whole point of the Galaxy S4 Value Edition is all about. Having rolled out in the Netherlands, it will arrive in white and silver shades, sporting a €398 price point sans contract. Will it hit the other countries in due time? The bigger question is, does it matter?
