Samsung NX3000 SMART Camera

Samsung is updating its NX SMART Camera series today with the addition of the Samsung NX3000 SMART , the successor of the NX2000.

The key difference from the previous model is the size reduction of the display to make room for physical buttons, a feature highly requested by users. Now you will be able to access the video recording, playback, delete  commands and the control wheel directly from the backside.

The 3.0-inch 320×480 TFT-LCD display now tilts 180 degrees for selfies.  Wink Shot allows users to turn on the device and capture selfies by simply opening the screen and winking.

The 20.3 MP APS-C CMOS sensor remains unchanged  and, unlike the NX300 flagship, does not feature face recognition.  The NX3000 can take 5fps fast continuous shots and its shutter speed is at an impressively fast 1/4000th of a second. The battery is larger and the kit lens is more versatile than the previous model. The 16-50 mm now features a power zoom (electric engine) that makes the lens more compact and allows for remote control of the zoom function via a Smartphone.

Thanks to WiFi and NFC integration, it will be easy to share images between multiple devices. With Mobile Link you can select and share multiple images with paired mobile devices and Group share allows to send images to up to four devices simultaneously.

The NX 3000will be available for $529 with 16-50mm OIS Power Zoom + SEF-8 Flash and for $479 with 20-50mm + SEF-8 Flash.
