titanfall expeditionIn case you did not already know, Titanfall for the Xbox 360 is not made by Respawn. Instead the Xbox 360 port of the game was handled by another developer, Bluepoint, who by all accounts seems to have done a pretty good job with the Xbox 360 version of the game. That being said, it’s because of this that the Xbox 360 version of the game can expect to receive its updates later than the Xbox One or the PC version of the game.

Many have suspected that this would be the case and we can’t say that we’re too surprised, but Respawn Entertainment has since confirmed it on their website. According to Respawn, “Updates for the Xbox 360 will naturally follow behind similar updates for the PC and Xbox One. This timing difference is due to the same reasons that more time was needed to finish Titanfall for the Xbox 360.”

They later add, “Respawn must first finish their additions and improvements for the Xbox One and PC, and afterwards Bluepoint can then grab the latest and update the Xbox 360 version. We’re working with Respawn and Bluepoint to streamline the process and close the gap, allowing Xbox 360 updates to be published as closely as possible to Respawn’s updates.”

What this means for gamers is that if you were hoping to get your hands on the upcoming Titanfall DLC, Expedition, Xbox One and PC gamers can expect to get the update come May, while those playing the Xbox 360 version of the game can look forward to it in June. It’s not that much of a wait, and hopefully future updates will be just as timely.
