xbox oneThe Xbox One is Microsoft’s latest console, and while it does compete with the Sony PlayStation 4, recent figures have shown that Sony is beating out Microsoft in terms of sales so far. In fact in the past, some have suggested that Microsoft should sell off their Xbox division because it isn’t doing as well as it should.

Does it seem a bit harsh? Indeed it does, but the good news for Xbox gamers is that if you were hoping that would not happen, you can rest assured that Microsoft has no plans to do anything that drastic for now. Speaking during the Code Conference in California, Microsoft’s new CEO, Satya Nadella, stated that the Xbox is not going anywhere.

According to Nadella, “I have no intent to do anything different with Xbox than we are doing today.” While he did not explicitly mention that he would not be selling the Xbox division, we guess it can be inferred in his statement that there will not be any drastic changes made to the Xbox.

In fact it was report back in 2013 that while Microsoft was searching for a new CEO, one of their reported candidates, former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop, apparently considered selling off the Xbox division and killing off Bing if he were to become CEO, but we guess that did not happen and thankfully the Xbox is here to stay, but what do you guys think? Would the Xbox be better off being managed by another company?
