yezz billy 4.7OEMs have come up with a variety of different ways in which they name their devices. Some are clever, some are simple, some names are very long and clumsy, and some are just a little odd. YEZZ on the other hand has decided to go with something simple and have actually given their phone a “human” name.

The company has recently unveiled their first Windows Phone handset called the Billy 4.7. YEZZ might not necessarily be a brand you might have heard of before but if you’re willing to try something new, we don’t see why the YEZZ Billy 4.7 Windows Phone can’t deliver, especially since the handset is priced very affordably at $249 off-contract.

As the name implies, the Billy 4.7 will feature a 4.7-inch display with a 1280×720 HD resolution. Sure, it can’t compete with Nokia and their Full HD displays, but for $249, it is understandable, plus not everyone might be able to tell the difference anyway. The handset will also be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core chipset (model and clock speed was not mentioned) and will come with a 13.1MP rear-facing camera.

The phone will be 4G HSPA+ capable and will play nicely with GSM networks, so if you were thinking of buying the phone and using it on AT&T or T-Mobile, you’re in luck. The phone’s backplates are also removable and interchangeable and customers can look forward to different colors which are sold separately. The phone will also feature dual SIM capabilities so for those who have more than one SIM card, this could be the phone you’re looking for.

The YEZZ Billy 4.7 will be made available later this month in the US, Europe, and Latin America.
