I am quite sure that a fair number of us who are in our late 20s as well as early 30 will remember the very first time we were introduced to Wolfenstein 3D as well as Doom in subsequent years, with its sequel that really saw the explosive growth of the FPS genre. With a decent soundcard in your computer, playing Doom could get rather scary at times, and don’t you just hate having to collect all yellow, blue and red keys before you are able to complete a particular level? The upcoming Doom is a game that is currently being developed by the folks over at id Software, where QuakeCon 2014 is set to be the place where the game’s first reveal will happen. QuakeCon 2014 is kicking off later this year on July 17 all the way to July 20th at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas. Doom is also the first time I learned of the technique known as circle strafing – pretty useful in dispatching the technology-infused horrors in Doom.
