As gamers have probably heard by now, Rockstar announced that they will be bringing their highly acclaimed GTA 5 onto next-gen consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, along with the PC as well. That being said, it looks like Sony could have scored themselves more exclusive content, as hinted by SCEA’s marketing boss, John Koller.
Speaking to the folks at Kotaku, Koller hinted that Sony gamers can look forward to special content for GTA 5 on the PlayStation 4. He did not dive into any details, but he did mention how “special” the franchise is for Sony, which might be why they decided to work with Rockstar to create special content for PS4 gamers.
According to Koller, “I don’t think we announced anything publicly on that, but there will be. GTA 5 is going to be, I think, a title we’ll talk about more in the weeks and months to come, but GTA 5 and the GTA franchise is something that will be something very special on PlayStation.” We’re not sure what kind of special content we could be looking at, but if you were excited about the game, then maybe the PS4 could be the platform to play it on.
It certainly seems that way because just yesterday, Blizzard and Sony revealed that PlayStation gamers could look forward to exclusive content for Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls on the PlayStation. This include special guest appearances by monsters from Sony’s other franchises in the game, along with a transmorgrification design for an armor set from Shadow of the Colossus.
