hisense-sero8Hisense isn’t necessarily a brand that you might think of when it comes to mobile devices, but it certainly hasn’t stopped the company from releasing smartphones and tablets over the past couple of years. Back in 2013, the company unveiled the Hisense Sero 7 Pro and Sero LT tablets, and it looks like they are back again in 2014 with the Hisense Sero 8.

The tablet will be sold exclusively by Walmart, at least for the time being, so if you wanted a tablet on the cheap, you’ll want to head on over to your local Walmart to check it out. How cheap, you ask? Well how does $129 for a brand new 8-inch tablet sound to you? Walmart notes that the tablet will only be available at its brick and mortar outlets, so it looks like you won’t be able to pick one up online.

That being said, what can you expect for $129? Well to be honest, nothing all that spectacular, but like we said it’s a cheap tablet so if you’re on a budget, we guess it should be good enough to get the job done and then some. The Hisense Sero 8 will feature an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1280×800, which is to be expected for a tablet of the budget variety.

It will also be powered by a quad-core 1.6GHz processor that will be accompanied by 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage that can be expanded via microSD. There will be a 2MP rear-facing camera, a 0.3MP front-facing camera, and will run on Android 4.4 KitKat. There will be Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, mini-HDMI, and a micro USB that will allow for charging and/or data transfer.
