iphone6-fake-conferenceHidden banners that have been spotted at WWDC 2014 alongside a slew of rumors that claim to deliver the latest upcoming news that will happen in due time have certainly led some folks down different paths from time to time, but it seems that there is at least one rumor that can be debunked. Some of us might have come across on the Internet a video of an empty conference room at the Moscone Center which will be the venue where WWDC 2014 is held, with some speculating that the iPhone 6 will allegedly be projected onto a screen in front of the room. This would certainly lend some weight to the claim that the next generation iPhone will be presented in the week ahead. However, it seems that such a video is nothing but a fake, where it is made up of two different bits

An image of the conference room which was discovered happened to be the handiwork of Reddit member “likesthings” that was found on Google, where said photo matched 100% correctly to one of the frames of the video. Apparently, the forger actually went through the trouble of shooting a video of a WWDC conference room, before throwing in images of iPhone 6 mockups that have already flooded the Internet, despite Apple having looked to an elite Chinese task force to weed out such practices. If there’s no iPhone 6 announcement, what other kinds of hardware announcements can we look forward to?
