Legos fascinated us as kids and still do to this very day. The possibilities are endless when you sit down to make something out of these little plastic bricks. The company releases sets based on a variety of themes. The Creator lineup brings some of the most iconic automobiles in Legos. Continuing with that theme it has now released a Lego Mini Cooper, which is a 1,077 piece set.

Having played with both Legos and real Mini Coopers, I must say that this has a certain allure for me. Its likely to appeal to people who are passionate about classic automobiles as well. There’s no two ways about Legos execution of this model, it has been done very nicely.

This 4 x 9 x 5-inch replica of the Mini Cooper Mk VII comes with a “classic green and white color scheme with white wing mirrors and racing stripes.” There are opening doors, hood and trunk, sporty fog lights, detailed engine and a separate spare tire compartment.

Even the roof is removable to access a tan colored interior with patterned seats, a steering wheel that actually turns, moving gearshift and handbrake as well as a veneer style dashboard.

The Mini Cooper Mk VII Lego set costs $100.Some might think its a pricey “toy,” but its quite nostalgic for many of us.
