LG-G-Pad-83-review-012It has been a few days since Android 4.4.4 KitKat arrived on stock Nexus devices, and this can only mean one thing – that there will be the same update introduced to other Android-powered devices in due time, and true enough, we have seen the LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition be on the receiving end of the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat update. This continues in the tradition (so far) that Google Play edition devices tend to be the fastest among the commercially available lot to obtain the most recent updates from Google.

If you happen to own an LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition but have yet to see a glimpse of the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update, fret not. This particular update is said to be released in a staggered manner, so you will have to play the patience card for a little bit longer. On the bright side, at least you get to skip Android 4.4.3 and make the jump to Android 4.4.4 directly from Android 4.4.2, no?

Do bear in mind that the Android 4.4.3 KitKat as well as the Android 4.4.4 KitKat updates happen to be part of the KitKat family, and hence, these are incremental upgrades which should not arrive with obvious and new features right from the get go, since the changes will most probably be a whole lot more subtle, delivering performance improvements as well as squashing some bugs.
