We recently reported that a new software update was coming soon for Moto X users on T-Mobile. The carrier itself had revealed that it was working on an update. It even started a “soak test,” basically seeding the update to a few people prior to a full-scale release. That started late last month and now its ready for prime time. T-Mobile Moto X Android 4.4.3 update has been released today.

Android 4.4.3 is the latest iteration of KitKat, the major update that Google launched late last year. It is by no means a major update that brings new user interface tweaks and features. Its merely an incremental update that primarily brings security fixes, accuracy improvements for power profile as well as stability and framework fixes.

The update also brings an improved Camera application which offers much better quality with enhanced consistency of exposure, improved performance of front camera in low light and more realistic flash coloring. The viewfinder gets a pause/resume button, adding the ability to conveniently pause video recording.

An updated phone dialer comes with a new colorful layout that improves usability and consistency. This update enables Motorola Alert app download, its an app that periodically sends alerts with the users’ location to their selected contacts.

The Android 4.4.3 update for Moto X on T-Mobile is rolling out now. It may not have gone live across all regions right now but that should take more than a few days.
