screen-shot-2014-06-25-at-2-55-09-amThe Moto X+1 is the successor to the Moto X, or so the rumors claim. So far we have seen alleged leaked renders of the handset, but the bigger question is when will the device actually be announced? Well it turns out that there is a chance that the Moto X+1 could be making a debut at Google I/O which is scheduled to kick off in a few hours’ time.

This is according to the folks at 9to5Google who claims to have received an image (pictured above) which is supposedly a press rendering of the Moto X+1. Based on what we can see it certainly does not look like the previous renderings we’ve seen, although the dual-tone colors on sure hints at its customizability.

Their source, who gave them the photo, goes on to state that it is possible that the phone could be announced at Google I/O. This would actually come as a surprise since not many people had expected to see new hardware at the event, and that the event would be more software focused and would talk more about the next build of Android, Android TV, and so on.

In any case do take it with a grain of salt for now, but like we said Google I/O will kicking off in a few hours’ time, 9AM PDT to be exact, so be sure to check back with us then for the details! In the meantime what do you guys think? Will the Moto X+1 really be shown off?
