wayward manorBack in 2013, we reported that famed author Neil Gaiman was working with the developers the Odd Gentlemen to create a game designed for the PC called Wayward Manor. The good news is that after being in development for a year, it looks like the game is about to be released. According to a post on The Odd Gentlemen’s Tumblr, they have announced that the game will be released on the 15th of July.

The game will be released on platforms such as Steam and the Humble Store where it has been priced at $10. In the case of the latter, 10% of the proceeds will be given to charity. For those unfamiliar with the game, it is basically where gamers will play as a ghost where they are trying to scare the occupants of the house, although given Neil Gaiman’s involvement, it should prove to be quite quirky too.

For those unfamiliar with Gaiman’s work, he has written stories such as American Gods, which is slated to be made into a television series; Coraline which was made into an animated movie, Stardust which was also made into a movie that featured Claire Danes and Robert De Niro; and he also wrote the graphic novel Sandman. So, anyone else looking forward to the game?
