nokia-630-635-preview-004Earlier today, Microsoft announced the Nokia X2 which while technically is Nokia’s fourth Android handset, it will be Microsoft’s first ever since they have officially bought over Nokia. That being said, we expect that Microsoft probably has additional Nokia devices up their sleeves, and now thanks to a post by @evleaks, potential Nokia codenames have surfaced.

According to @evleaks, the codenames for the potential Nokia handsets includes the Vela, Athena, and Libra. At this point in time it is really anyone’s guess as to what these devices might be about. They could refer to low-end handsets, or they could refer to high-end devices. After all shouldn’t it be around that time when we can expect successors to devices like the Lumia 1020? It might still be a bit too early for the Lumia 1520’s successor, but who’s to say that isn’t in the works?

In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but since Nokia has lineups like the Nokia X, Nokia Asha, and Nokia Lumia, it’s really anyone’s guess as to what those codenames might refer to. What do you guys think? Logically what could be the next batch of handsets that Microsoft might be getting ready to announce?
