t-mobile-logoIt does look as though T-Mobile will be introducing a new service that they have called the Underground which will target tech enthusiasts. The Underground is not meant for the masses as its name suggests, as it will train its proverbial crosshairs on “true enthusiasts” through its “limited-stock devices and accessories”, at least according to T-Mobile via a Google+ post.

At the moment, if you were to drop by the T-Mobile Underground portal, you would be able to check out the gold version of the Samsung Galaxy S5, in addition to a bunch of wearable technology from Samsung such as the Samsung Gear 2 Gold (to match the Galaxy S5 gold, I presume), Samsung Gear Fit and the Jawbone UP24 fitness band. Other than those devices, there were no other handsets or accessories which were mentioned to go on sale via the Underground.

It remains to be seen just what the main objective that T-Mobile has in store for the Underground, in terms of it being a shopping experience. Will it remain a portal for exclusive devices in various shades of luxury, or is it a place where one can import devices that are popular but simply have not gone on sale in the US officially?? Only time will be able to shed more information on the situation.
