iphone airThere has been a lot of talk regarding Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6. The device has been rumored for an announcement later this year, with some claiming October while others claim late September. That being said, one of the rumored sizes of the iPhone 6 is a 5.5-inch model and that the device could be known as the iPhone Air.

According to a recent post on Spigen’s Google+ account, it seems that the company is preparing its customers for the upcoming launch, and in the process “confirming” both the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch model, while not-so subtly hinting at the iPhone Air moniker. As you can see in the image above, the tagline reads, “There’s something in the air”, which presumably alludes to the iPhone Air name.

In any case Spigen has put their products up on Amazon where they are up for pre-order. According to Spigen, it seems that they expect their iPhone 6 cases to be available on the 30th of September, which coincidentally enough is shortly after one of the rumored launch dates of the iPhone 6.

Of course it is entirely possible that Spigen is speculating about the size and availability of the iPhone 6. Case manufacturers tend to do that since getting products out of the door ahead or at launch would be ideal as it would cater to customers who are looking for something to protect their brand new purchases, so until we hear from Apple officially, try not to get your hopes up just yet.
