Lumia-5302Given how well the Nokia Lumia 520 has performed, we can only imagine that Microsoft/Nokia would want to continue their success by releasing a newer model of the handset that would once again appeal to developing markets, which was where the Lumia 520 experienced most of its success in.

Now we have heard the rumors that Nokia could be working on the Lumia 530, which is presumably the successor to the Lumia 520, and now thanks to new photos out of China, we have some additional photos of the alleged device.

20140709_185226_154According to the post on the Chinese website, it refers to the device as the Nokia Lumia X which is a little odd, since the “X” moniker is has been used by Nokia to denote its Android lineup, so by calling it the Lumia X we can only imagine the confusion it could cause to some customers – “is it a Windows Phone? Or is it Android?”

The exact specs of the Lumia 530 remains a mystery for now, but it is clear from the images above that the phone will lack a dedicated camera button, instead relying on on-screen buttons instead. It has also been rumored to feature a 5MP camera. Either way take it with a grain of salt, but hopefully we will hear an announcement soon.
