rogueIt was in March earlier this year that there was report of a new Assassin’s Creed game, where that particular title carried the codename Comet. Comet underwent development to be released on both the Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms, and this time around, it looks like there is going to be another Assassin’s Creed title, having listed by a Swiss retailer listed under the guise of Assassin’s Creed Rogue.

Needless to say, the listing has already been removed ever since it appeared, but not before folks were alert enough to catch this particular listing and capturing a screenshot of it. Swiss retailer World of Games did have Assassin’s Creed: Rogue listed, and unfortunately, even the Google Cache has also made a disappearing act.

It looks like Assassin’s Creed Comet is now possibly known as Rogue, where word on the street has it that this particular title will see players take on the role of a Templar who is simply known as Shay. The title is also said to be set in New York around 1758, and players will have a chance to sail the Atlantic Ocean – which should be a treat, really, considering how the Atlantic Ocean should be free from all sorts of pollutants. It is also believed that Rogue might be a hybrid between Assassin’s Creed 3 and Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag’s Freedom Cry DLC.
