asuszenfoneIt has been some time in the making, but at long last, ASUS has just released a couple of their smartphones to the masses in Taiwan, which is ASUS’ home country, before the possibility of seeing both devices arrive in other countries some tie down the road emerges. The two devices in question would be the PadFone S as well as the ZenFone 5 with LTE capability. We will see more of what both offer in greater detail right after the jump.

The ASUS PadFone S happens to be the non-US version of AT&T’s Asus PadFone X, which has been made available in the US since last month. As for the PadFone S, it will feature an updated Snapdragon 801 processor, in addition to having a splash-proof coating alongside wireless charging capability. Other than that, everything else remains the same, where this 5” smartphone will also feature a 9” tablet dock that can be controlled by Android 4.4 KitKat.

As for the ZenFone 5 LTE, it will run on a quad-core Qualcomm 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, has Android 4.4 KitKat running right out of the box, a 5” 720p IPS display, an 8MP camera at the back, 2GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory, and a 2,110 mAh battery. Will other Asian regions receive these handsets in due time? Only patience will reveal more.
