battlefield hardlineIf you’re a fan of franchises like Call of Duty or Battlefield, chances are you might have heard of Battlefield Hardline, a new title in the Battlefield franchise. The game was originally pegged for a release later this year in October, but unfortunately it looks like the game has been delayed to 2015 instead.

This is according to a recent post by EA where they confirmed the game’s delay. According to EA, based on the feedback that gamers were giving them from the beta, they decided that they should add more innovative features to the game to make it even better, and because of that they realized that they wouldn’t have enough time to do that and launch the game in a timely manner.

According to EA, “We would need more time. Time that we didn’t have if we decided to move forward with launching in just a couple of months. We decided that the right thing to do was to take more time to ensure Hardline is the best, most innovative Battlefield experience we can give to you, our fans.”

If anything this is a stark contrast to Battlefield 4 which was said to be rushed in order to beat out Activision’s Call of Duty: Ghosts’ launch. The game was extremely buggy and EA was even hit with several lawsuits, after which they promised that they would learn from their mistakes and we guess this is evidence of that.

In any case EA did not mention when exactly in 2015 we can expect the game, but did state “early 2015”, so we guess we’ll just have to wait and see. In the meantime anyone else bummed by this delay, or are you glad that EA is taking their time with it?
