destinyDestiny is Bungie’s upcoming shooter and it is expected to make its way onto both the PlayStation and Xbox platforms. However as per Bungies announcements, it looks like they will be favoring the PlayStation platform more than the Xbox, which in some ways is a little ironic since Bungie’s previous game, Halo, was an exclusive for the Xbox platform.

For example there will be PlayStation 4 bundles, early access to both the alpha and beta, and it seems that over in Japan, Destiny will not be launching on the Xbox platform at all. Naturally PlayStation gamers are probably thrilled by all the exclusivity that they are gaining access too, and it is unsurprising that Xbox gamers don’t feel that way, so much so that the Bungie forums are filled with Xbox and PlayStation gamers who are fighting amongst each other.

Like we said earlier, it’s a little ironic since Halo was pretty much exclusive to the Xbox platform, and given the popularity of the franchise, many PlayStation gamers were probably miffed at that time that the game wasn’t even released on their platform, as opposed to Destiny which will be released on both the Xbox and PlayStation consoles, it’s just that PlayStation gamers get treated a little better.

A couple of months ago, the folks at GameSpot interviewed Bungie and during the process, an Xbox gamer asked if Bungie would keep ignoring them, to which they replied, “Who’s ignoring you? We’re right here; making a game we hope you’ll love. We’re listening to your questions, and answering the ones we can. If you’re a gamer who wants to play a Bungie game, you’re very much on our mind— every day.” What do you guys think? Do Xbox gamers have the right to be upset over some PlayStation exclusivity?
