Microsoft had said back in January this year that it would bring a GoPro channel to Xbox consoles. By April the channel was launched first on the Xbox 360. Since then it has been limited to that console and Xbox One owners have been patiently waiting. Its a popular choice among Xbox owners as the Xbox 360 channel has already seen more than 500,000 downloads. Microsoft says users watched an average of 30 minutes of GoPro video per viewing session in the U.S. Well the wait ends for Xbox One today as the GoPro channel has finally landed on the new console.

The GoPro channel can now be added to the Xbox One console. Not only does it allow users to view some really awesome videos recorded by GoPro users from around the world, it also lets them share their own videos and even purchase cameras and related equipment straight from their console.

GoPro is celebrating its launch on the Xbox One by offering four exclusive videos which can be found in the channel. This relationship between Xbox and GoPro helps the latter grow content distribution and expand community reach across the globe, Microsoft says that its “very excited” to participate in these efforts with the launch of the channel on Xbox One.
